2 Years of Uptime
So my decision to chroot my important processes on both of my servers has paid of with some great uninterrupted uptime. I just celebrated my 700th day of uptime. The services have all been restarted many times but the underlying system never was rebooted.
I just ordered another server to replace the two that I currently have. This one will have the resources to handle everything and I will be using some virtualization technology to manage everything. Services will still be separated but running on the same box, just under different operating systems. Backing up each virtualized server will be interesting, so understanding how each system allows for full backups will affect the technology I end up using.
